WHY I AM CONSERVATIVE

It is how I grew up. In our household, we were taught not to judge; however, supporting issues like gay marriage and abortion were not an option. My parents also did not over-spend. We couldn’t. Some months, ends barely met. Through budgeting and my mom going back to school, we made it.

WHY I AM RUNNING

I am running to represent you for a few reasons: 1) I am prepared and will bring fresh ideas to the district. 2) The district has changed; more races and all classes are now represented. I will build bridges not barriers. 3) It’s simply time for a new direction. Business as usual is no longer acceptable.

WHY VOTE FOR ME

I promise to be honest with you. If I cannot get something done, I will tell you. I will also be creative. I will offer solutions that have the greatest impact for the least amount of taxpayer’s dollars. I will be in the community. I understand that some problems in our district cannot be solved in Montgomery.

ABOUT ME

I am a native of Birmingham, Alabama (Fountain Heights) and am a small business owner. I have been active in several capacities in the community. I am a member of the Bessemer Chamber of Commerce. I also currently serve on the Economic Development Committee for the Hoover Chamber of Commerce, and as an Associate Board Member for the Alabama Policy Institute. Additionally, I have served on the Steering Committee for the Alabama Republican Party, as an Executive Committee member with the Young Republican Federation of Alabama, and as a Finance Committee member with the Young Republican National Federation.

In addition to volunteering, I have been appointed to serve the State of Alabama by two governors. My first appointment was in 2009 at the direction of Governor Bob Riley to the Amistad Commission, one of the state’s education textbook efforts. My following appointments came from our current governor, Robert Bentley, to the Affordable Homeowner’s Insurance Commission and to the Alabama Commission on Higher Education. I became the youngest Alabamian to be appointed to the Commission on Higher Education. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and am a member of Faith Church, located in Oxmoor Valley. I am happily married to my wife, Setara.
